CIVIC ACTIVITIES
Each Year we sponsor the Fire Prevention Poster Contest for the Town of North Haven. The contest is open to 4th and 5th grade students. The North Haven Professional Firefighters Association presents the first place winners with a $100 U.S. Savings Bond. The winning posters are then sent to the regional contest. This year one of the winners from North Haven also won the regional title. That poster will now go on to the state contest.
On November 19 & 20, 2007 we held our Third annual Tip a Firefighter night at the Outback restaurant in North Haven to benefit the CT Burn Foundation.
In 2004 we went up to the Burn Camp in Union, CT to assist in constructing the shelters for the campers. We spent the day at the camp and installed screens in about a dozen buildings. Each summer one of our members spends a week at the camp as a counselor.
