Medical Information Vial

    The North Haven Professional Firefighters Association has instituted a lifesaving program for all residents of North Haven.  The Emergency Information Vial Program gives the Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician quick access to medical and other pertinent information that is needed in time of an emergency.

    The North Haven Professional Firefighters Association will provide every household in town with the specially marked vial and information sheets free of charge.  Residents should follow the programs instructions and completely fill out the provided information sheet.  Information that will be useful include, name, date of birth, medical history, medications, allergies to medication, contact person, etc.

    The information sheet is then placed inside the specially marked vial.  The vial is then placed inside your refrigerator on a door shelf.   A specially marked magnet, which is also provided, is then placed on the upper left corner of your refrigerator to alert the Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician that your information vial is inside.

    Your Professional Firefighters encourage all residents to participate in this valuable program.  Town residents can pick up this lifesaving package at:  Fire Headquarters, located at 11 Broadway, during normal business hours.
