Bicycle Safety Awareness

    On October 29th and November 5th the North Haven Professional Firefighters Association held it's annual Bike Safety Days.  On these two days bike helmets were distributed to first graders in the North Haven Public School system.  This is the 10th year that we have been holding this event ane we have given out over 2000 helmets.  Also on hand these two days were representatives of The North Haven Bike Shop ,to professionally fit each students helmet, and Anthem Blue Cross, who is a sponsor of this event.

    In the weeks prior to these days the North Haven Professional Firefighters Association sent representatives to each of North Haven's  first grade classes.  These Firefighters spoke to the students about bike safety and the importance of wearing helmets when riding bikes.

    Through the continued support of the residents of North Haven we hope that we can continue this annual safety program for years to come.
